3. Nurse Call Center & Medical Charting Application
About the Project:
Our client (anonymized for confidentiality purposes) approached Juicy Design with a challenge to create a new GUI application that would satisfy the nursing call center staff who had become quite adept at using a keystroke-input based application. We gathered a set of key nurses and interviewed them for several days as they taught us how to use the keystroke application. We learned the application, what was important to them and the shortcuts they had created for themselves over the years and incorporated this knowledge into an custom designed application for them. The nursing staff was thrilled with the result. Components of the application included advanced searching, email and messaging, collaboration, medical charting, surveys, research among many others.
